This is a mechanical accessory comprising a disc-shaped base with a clamp for CCM compact microphones or active cables + MK microphone capsules. In a very simple and elegant manner, it turns a directional microphone, such as a supercardioid CCM 41 or a cardioid CCM 4, into a directional boundary-layer microphone. The CCM- or KC is simply put into the clamp. When placed on a hard surface (the floor or a large table) the normal polar diagram will be divided in half lengthwise along the microphone's axis. The sensitivity of the microphone increases by 6 dB due to surface-mounting.

Surface finish: grey, non-reflective.

The KMSC double clamp makes possible a M-S stereo microphone setup with any available directional microphone of 19-21 mm diameter. A CCM 8 or MK 8 + KC (for the S-channel) is mounted on the directional (M-channel) microphone. Advantage: only slight additional weight; can use existing equipment (M-channel microphone, blimp-style windscreen).
